The best event at the Minneapolis Convention Center each year is the Twin Cities Food and Wine Show, or Food and Wine Expo as its official title states. For three days visitors to the Food and Wine Show are treated to the best in beer and wine tasting, fine dining samples and excellent deserts and cheeses. Area restaurants strut their stuff offering samples of their finest appetizers and entrees. Wine distributors and wineries from all over the United States flock to the Twin Cities Food And Wine Expo to offer tastings of their various wines. In 2006 the Food and Wine show will be held 2/24 - 2/26 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Tickets to the Minneapolis Food And Wine Expo go on sale 11/23/2005 and cost $55.00 in advance and $60.00 at the Food and Wine Expo. Parking is located in the front underground lot and rear above ground lot of the Minneapolis Convention Center. For those visiting from far away or those who would prefer not to drive there are many Convention Center Hotels in the area to choose from. The Millennium Hotel offers additional food and wine tasting events during the Twin Cities Food and Wine Show. Those events are at an extra cost but provide a more intimate setting for a Food And Wine Expo weekend.
